Ductless Heat Installed in Porch: Warm and toasty . Couldn't be happier, it is like we added a play room onto the house. I undertook a project to raise a 120 foot long house 20 inches, extend the foundation, lower the house onto the extended foundation and then install a new high efficiency gas boiler for hot water heat and domestic water and then replumb all of the water and waste feeds. This project required much planning and coordination and the input from someone who could understand the objectives and develop an approach and system design that was consistent with the objectives.

From the first meeting, I found Rob Basnett to be focused on the best solution, committed to working closely with me and the many other trades that were involved. On the heating system, Rob sought to understand the functional specifications that I prepared for a request for proposal and made very relevant and valuable suggestions to improve the final product.

On more than one occasion, the project presented unexpected circumstances that demanded immediate work from a plumber or heating person to keep the work going efficiently. Rob and his team were always responsive to these unexpected demands.

The final products were an entirely new heating system and reconnection of all of the waste, water supply pipes to the fixtures throughout the house. Everything was professionally done, on time and within the contract cost for the work that was bid based on a specific scope and within estimate for the work that was done on a time and material basis.

I found it very beneficial that Rob carries a Blackberry and is a regular email communicator. It was much easier to get a message to him or ask a question than playing the telephone tag game that I have to do with many other contractors.

Finally, I was impressed by the Core Values that I read on the Basnett Plumbing web site, Basnettplumbing.com. Having worked with Basnett Plumbing, I believe that they adhere to them.

Thank you so much for completing this installation on time. I am impressed with the quality of installation and the neatness of the layout. It was very good. You arrived when you said and finished that day. Didn't think that would happen. Nicely done. Everything was neat and clean when you left. Except for some extra pipes that were not labelled on my end and were mistakenly connected and then soaked my ceiling upstairs when the water was turned on. I don't consider this to be your fault. Although you could make the argument that these pipes should have been identified before being connected? Like I said, stuff happens, I'm not concerned about it. The previous homeowner should have capped and labelled these pipes. Having never gone through this before I noticed that the quote was a little less detailed than other quotes I had. I emailed back and forth with questions of what is included and what is not. What model # of sump pump, do I supply the carbon monoxide sensors on the other floors? I just prefer more details so that there are no surprises, that's all. But I would definitely recommend you. Very good work. Oh, and I'm loving this tankless unit.
